Full Charge Bookkeeper/Accountant

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our dynamic Accounting team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with a focus on financial reporting, compliance, and analysis. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of clients' financial records and ensuring adherence to GAAP standards. The Staff Accountant will work closely with various departments to support financial management and contribute to the overall success of our organization.

Duties

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP.
• Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Conduct financial analysis, including cash flow analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Assist in regulatory reporting and compliance with SOX requirements.
• Support tax team.
• Utilize accounting software such as Xero and Quickbooks.
• Stay updated on relevant accounting standards.
• Meet with clients monthly/quarterly to review financials.

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
• Proven experience in corporate accounting or public accounting roles with a strong understanding of technical accounting concepts.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively.
• Knowledge of accrual accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping practices.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all financial reporting activities.
