Aspen Lakes Golf Course is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Full-Charge Bookkeeper / Accounting Specialist to support the financial operations of our golf course, restaurant, and hospitality business.

This position is responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping functions, maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, supporting payroll and vendor management, and assisting with financial reporting. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment with multiple revenue centers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily bookkeeping and accounting operations
  • Maintain accurate general ledger entries and financial records
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and merchant processing statements
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Responsible for payroll processing and payroll reporting
  • Track restaurant, golf, retail, and event-related financial activity
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and account summaries
  • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Process invoices and maintain vendor relationships
  • Perform basic HR duties
  • Monitor cash handling procedures and internal controls
  • Assist management with budgeting and financial reporting needs
  • Ensure accuracy, organization, and confidentiality of financial data

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks required
  • Experience with general ledger accounting and reconciliations
  • Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a hospitality environment
  • Professional communication and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in hospitality, restaurant, golf course, resort, hotel, or retail accounting
  • Experience with POS systems and merchant reconciliation
  • Experience with inventory tracking or event accounting
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or related field preferred
