Job Overview

Duties

• Design and implement comprehensive art curricula tailored to diverse age groups and skill levels, incorporating elements of childhood development and special education as needed
• Lead engaging classroom sessions that promote active participation in art projects, photography, theater productions, ballet classes, sewing workshops, culinary arts, and other creative activities
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a safe and positive learning environment that encourages experimentation and self-expression
• Provide individualized tutoring and support to students struggling with specific techniques or concepts in art or related disciplines
• Develop lesson plans that integrate classroom management strategies with innovative teaching approaches to maximize student engagement
• Foster an inclusive atmosphere that respects diverse backgrounds and promotes cultural awareness through art projects
• Collaborate with colleagues to organize exhibitions, performances, or showcases that highlight student achievements in various artistic disciplines

Experience

• Proven classroom experience teaching art or related creative subjects across different age groups, including preschool, early childhood education, or adult education settings
• Experience working with children with special needs or in inclusive classrooms is highly desirable
• Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while inspiring students’ artistic talents
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices for early childhood education is preferred
• Familiarity with lesson planning that incorporates arts integration techniques and project-based learning approaches
• Additional skills such as culinary experience, sewing proficiency, dance (ballet), theater production knowledge, or childcare experience will be considered valuable assets

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
