Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh fruits and vegetables by washing, peeling, slicing, dicing, and packaging according to safety standards and quality specifications
• Operate knives and other kitchen tools skillfully for precise food preparation
• Wrap and package meat products with attention to cleanliness, safety, and proper labeling
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with food safety regulations
• Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and monitoring stock levels
• Support the maintenance team in keeping the store environment safe, clean, and well-organized
• Provide friendly customer service by answering questions about products and assisting with selections when needed

Experience

• Previous experience in food production or food handling is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided
• Kitchen experience or culinary background is a plus, especially familiarity with knife skills and meat cutting techniques
• Knowledge of food safety standards within the food industry or restaurant environment is highly desirable
• Experience working in a fast-paced setting such as a grocery store or restaurant will help you excel in this role
• Strong attention to detail, ability to follow safety procedures, and excellent teamwork skills are essential for success
