Social Work, Faculty Position – Full Time (NTTA or Tenure Track)
Long Island University, Brooklyn Campus MSW Collaborative Program invites applications
for a full time faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.
The MSW program, originally accredited by CSWE in 2003, is primarily an evening program
and prepares graduates for Clinical and Administrative practice, with specializations in the
following areas: Child and Family Welfare, Forensic Social Work, and Substance Use and
Addictive Behaviors. Although our MSW program is a collaborative program in coordination
with LIU's Brooklyn Campus, this current faculty posting is specifically for a position
located on the Post Campus. LIU Post also has a BSSW Program and the successful
candidate may be interested in teaching across the curriculum and/or across programs –
however, the primary assignment will be to the MSW Program. The successful candidate
will need to be able to work with individuals and communities of diverse ethnic, cultural,
and religious backgrounds.
Requirements Include

MSW degree from a CSWE accredited college/university, with at least three years postgraduate practice experience

PhD/DSW in social work or a related field

Demonstrated teaching excellence at the undergraduate and/or graduate level

Familiarity with virtual learning environments and course management systems (hybrid/blended teaching) and/or willingness to train

Ability to conduct fundable research and publish
