Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, driven, and service-minded Full-Service Catering & Events Sales Manager to join our growing sales team. This position leads the sales process from inquiry through close while overseeing key event planning milestones to ensure each experience is executed flawlessly. The ideal candidate is equal parts relationship-builder and strategic closer—someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, elevates client experience, drives revenue growth, and collaborates seamlessly with culinary and operations teams to bring events to life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for clients, managing the sales journey from inquiry through contract execution and key planning checkpoints.
  • Own revenue generation by proactively managing leads, conducting client calls, scheduling site visits, creating proposals, and converting opportunities into booked business.
  • Develop compelling, customized proposals and presentations that align with client vision, budget, and brand standards while maximizing upsell opportunities.
  • Partner with culinary leadership to create innovative, tailored menus and event concepts that differentiate 12th Street Catering in the marketplace.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (kitchen, staffing, rentals, logistics) to ensure feasibility, accuracy, and seamless execution across all event details.
  • Lead client meetings and site visits, confidently guiding clients through decisions, timelines, and event logistics with professionalism and authority.
  • Oversee the preparation and accuracy of key event documents including timelines, staffing plans, floor plans, and setup/breakdown instructions, ensuring readiness for operations teams.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication, exceptional service, and strategic guidance—building repeat business and referrals.
  • Provide on-site event leadership as needed, acting as a calm, solutions-oriented presence and ensuring client satisfaction and operational excellence.
  • Track sales performance and pipeline activity, maintain CRM accuracy, and report on key metrics while identifying opportunities to improve conversion, efficiency, and client experience.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in catering sales, events sales, or hospitality sales required; full-service catering experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals in a client-facing, high-touch environment.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail paired with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM and catering event management software.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Compensation:

  • $50,000 starting salary
  • 3% commission and $20,000 draw
