Host Responsibilities

Crave is a full-service Italian restaurant located on Main Street in downtown Buena Vista, Colorado. We are open 7 days a week for both lunch and dinner service. We offer pizza, pasta dishes and a full bar. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone with restaurant experience looking to join an exciting new venture. This is also a great job for those looking to enter the restaurant profession. We train and promote from within.

This position requires an excellent attendance record. Our host position is vital to smooth operations so stable and consistent attendance is a must.

Job brief

An excellent host must be able to anticipate and control the flow of customers into the restaurant. They must be able to maintain and control reservations and wait lists. A great ‘can-do’ attitude, team-work, calm under pressure presence is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock host station for their shift.
• Ensure all reservations are confirmed and planned for and staff is aware of upcoming groups.
• Ensure all guests are greeted in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ensure all tables are cleaned and re-sat in a timely manner.
• Ensure servers and bartenders are aware of new guests in their sections.
• Bussing tables, running food, taking to-go orders, as needed.
• Maintain personal hygiene & follow proper health code guidelines

*Requirements*

• Willingness to learn, study, and grow with regards to all aspects of working in a fast paced restaurant.
• Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
• Ability to work in a team
• Very good communication skills, in a high-pace environment
• Good physical condition and stamina, in high heat environment
