Organizational Description
The Community Health Center Network (CHCN), sister organization to the Alameda Health Consortium, is made up of the eight federally qualified community health centers in Alameda County. CHCN functions as the managed care MSO for our health centers. In order to help our health centers meet their missions of providing the best possible care to their communities, we also provide a broad range of training, technical assistance, quality improvement, information technology, and data analytic services.

Alameda Health Consortium is the association of community health centers in Alameda County, California. The Consortium supports the involvement of communities in achieving comprehensive, accessible health care and improved outcomes for the underserved in the county. The Consortium’s policy, advocacy, and program activities have resulted in our becoming a credible, trusted leader in promoting and improving the quality of health care for our communities. POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Full Stack Developer (web and database) with a strong foundation in front-end development and SQL. You will collaborate with our development team to build, maintain, and optimize web applications while supporting data-driven features and workflows. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
  • Developing new features and maintaining existing web application code base built on .NET, DNN, Node.js, Python, Typescript and React.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate health care PHI data.
  • Assist in integrating front-end components with back-end services and APIs
  • Support configuration requests and data workflows in EZCAP (training will be provided).
  • Troubleshoot basic issues with REST based APIs.
  • Understanding of web-based architectures and back-end development.
  • Familiarity with Github Copilot or similar GenAI tools for documentation, code tasks, and automation support.
  • Perform basic monitoring of Azure-hosted applications (e.g., checking uptime, logs).
  • Git and GitHub basics (commits, branches, pull requests)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Competencies
  • 1-3 years of experience in web development: .NET, DNN, Node.js, Python,
Typescript and React.
  • Proficiency in: SQL (basic joins, filtering, grouping etc), SQL Server.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and JSON.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation habits.

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
  • One to three years of experience in web development with a strong emphasis on SQL and front-end technologies is required.
Other Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)
  • Exposure to healthcare systems such as Symkey or EZCAP.
  • Familiarity with EDI transactions and healthcare data formats.
  • Basic understanding of REST APIs and FHIR standards.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure (App Services, Azure SQL, monitoring).
  • Interest or coursework in data science or AI/GenAI tools.
