Full Stack Developer – Next.js / Node.js / AI Systems (Hybrid Role)

Overview

AppVault is a fast-moving recruitment technology platform helping enterprise clients hire smarter. We're looking for a Full Stack Developer who's energized by meaningful work, moves quickly, and takes pride in clean, scalable code — and who gets genuinely excited about what's possible at the edge of the stack, especially when AI is involved.

You'll be a core contributor on a small, high-trust engineering team — owning features end-to-end, shipping regularly, and directly influencing how our product evolves. We're looking for someone who doesn't just meet the technical bar but pushes past it, with a habit of exploring new tools, patterns, and approaches and bringing what you learn back to the team.

What You'll Build

• Web applications using Next.js, Node.js, and PostgreSQL
• RESTful APIs and real-time features with WebSockets
• Performant, responsive UIs that hold up at scale
• AI-powered features embedded directly into our recruitment platform
• Clean, well-reviewed code with testing and debugging baked in

AI isn't an afterthought here — it's central to our roadmap. You'll have the opportunity to work on:

• Knowledge graph systems that connect candidate, job, and workforce data intelligently
• AI agents that automate and augment recruiter workflows
• LLM integrations that make our product smarter with every interaction
• Autonomous and multi-step reasoning systems that push what recruitment technology can do

What You Bring

• 3+ years working with Next.js, Node.js, and PostgreSQL
• Strong grasp of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals
• Experience building with LLMs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar platforms
• Familiarity with AI agents, vector databases, or RAG architectures
• Comfort with Git, code reviews, and collaborative workflows
• Strong problem-solving instincts and clear communication
• A genuine curiosity about what's next in AI and a track record of acting on it

Bonus Points

• Azure DevOps and cloud hosting experience
• Hands-on work with AI agents, autonomous workflows, or multi-step reasoning systems
• Serverless architecture or Docker/Kubernetes familiarity
• Experience with Jest, Mocha, or similar testing frameworks
• Agile/Scrum background
