Job Overview

Sapphire Technologies is actively seeking a Senior WordPress Developer to join our growing team. We’re looking for a technically skilled professional who can lead custom WordPress development, build and modify themes and plugins, and resolve both front-end and back-end issues with efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins.
• Customize existing themes to match client requirements.
• Troubleshoot and debug technical issues across front-end and back-end.
• Optimize website performance (caching, minification, image compression, database management).
• Ensure mobile responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility.
• Build and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins.
• Implement security measures (SSL setup, malware protection, general site hardening).
• Provide occasional remote support outside of regular business hours when required.
  
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of hands-on WordPress development experience.
• Strong command of PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Experience developing custom post types, taxonomies, and using Advanced Custom Fields (ACF).
• Familiarity with popular themes such as Astra, Divi, or similar.
• Proven ability to identify and resolve plugin conflicts, theme bugs, and performance issues.
• Experience with caching tools like WP Rocket or W3 Total Cache, lazy loading, and code minification.
• Knowledge of Git for version control.
• Understanding of SEO principles and responsive design.
