Position: New Machine Sales and Service Center Assistant in Chesapeake, VA - Full-time position.

ABOUT THE Company
American GFM is a traditional custom machine builder and operates globally in a variety of industries, such as the steel industry, automotive industry, aircraft industry, etc. For over 70 years, we have been developing machines for a wide variety of production technologies, such as Radial hot and cold forging machines, high capacity cutting cam and crankshaft milling machines, ultrasonic cutting machines and tape laying machines for composites as well as high speed milling machines for e.g. Aluminum sheets in the stack.

Job Description
As a sales assistant, you will support our sales managers and coordinators in administrative and organizational tasks, as well as in the quotation and the order processing. You will assist in maintaining our relationships with customers with direct interfacing and follow up. Together with our representatives and colleagues from the technical/engineering departments you will support customers, facilitate sales meetings, and participate in and support customer activities in-house. You will also help out in our spare parts department with filing, answering phones and processing shipping notes.


Preferred background

- Interest in technology and 2 - 3 years work experience in a position with direct communication with customers and outside business contacts.

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (for example, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Note: Must be able to demonstrate the use of basic MS Excel formulas and document formatting.
