Full-Time Construction Dispatcher

Position Overview

Excel Paving Company, a general engineering contractor, is seeking a reliable and organized Construction Dispatcher to join our Dispatch Department. This role supports field operations and project teams and requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively. Working knowledge of DMV and DOT regulations is preferred.

Pay & Schedule

• Hourly Pay: $22 per hour (depending on experience)
• Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Answer and manage incoming and outgoing calls and correspondence
• Maintain dispatch schedules and materials calendar
• Track and record job site activity and important information
• Coordinate materials, rentals, labor, and job site requests
• Dispatch employees, materials, and rental equipment to job sites
• Manage DigAlerts and ensure excavation compliance
• Assist with union requests and hiring support for field employees
• Manage city permits and related documentation
• Enter daily dispatch and job site data into company systems

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Knowledge of DMV and DOT regulations preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Previous experience in construction, dispatch, or field operations preferred

Physical & Work Environment

• Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods
• Frequent use of hands for typing and paperwork
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
• Office-based position during regular business hours
