The Barber House is a vibrant chain of premium barbershops with a strong focus on style, grooming excellence, and community in Dubai. We’re looking for someone who can bring our brand to life online — someone creative, driven, up-to-date with social trends, and able to produce engaging content that goes viral across platforms.
Role Summary
You will be responsible for ideating, filming, editing and publishing content across all our social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Reels, Facebook, etc). You’ll work with our shop teams, clients, stylists, and events to capture real-life grooming, transformations, brand experience and lifestyle. Your goal: continuously generate content that drives engagement, builds brand awareness, and brings new traffic to our shops.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a content calendar aligned with brand initiatives, promotions, events, seasonal themes and trending topics.
- Pre-produce, shoot and edit high-quality short-form video (15-60 seconds) and still content optimized for mobile and social algorithms.
- Tailor content for each platform: Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Stories, IGTV, etc.
- Stay on top of relevant social-media and grooming/men’s-style trends, meme culture, viral formats, audio/music trends.
- Use analytics to evaluate performance (views, engagement, shares, click-throughs) and iterate on what works.
- Collaborate with stylists/barbers/clients in-shop to capture transformation stories, behind-the-scenes, lifestyle shots and influencer-style content.
- Write compelling captions, use hashtags strategically, and drive calls-to-action (bookings, shop visits, brand awareness).
- Keep up to date with emerging tools and techniques (AI editing tools, motion-graphics, mobile filming, TikTok features).
- Ensure brand tone, visual identity and messaging consistency.
- Engage with comments, community and user-generated content where applicable to build brand community.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Comfortable using AI tools for ideation, scripting, and editing — e.g. ChatGPT, Jasper, Notion AI, or similar — to brainstorm hooks, write captions, and optimize content ideas.
- Proficient with AI-assisted video and image editing tools such as Runway, Pika Labs, Descript, CapCut AI, Midjourney, or Canva Magic Studio for rapid content generation.
- Understanding of algorithmic optimization — how AI-based recommendation systems (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts) rank content, and how to tailor creative for them.
- Familiarity with voice cloning, auto-captioning, background removal, and remixing tools to streamline production.
- Bonus: experience experimenting with AI avatars, generative visuals, or motion-graphics automation for trend-based storytelling.
- Proven experience (2+ years ideally) creating social media content for brand(s), ideally in lifestyle, grooming, fashion or service-industry environments.
- Strong video production and editing skills: mobile, DSLR or mirrorless cameras, good lighting, framing, sound. Proficiency with editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve) or equivalent mobile-based tools.
- Expert understanding of social platforms, algorithms, short-form formats (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts) and what types of video go viral.
- Ability to spot, adapt and execute on social trends quickly — audio/meme trends, challenge formats, UGC (user generated content) hooks.
- Strong storytelling and visual communication: ability to craft concise narratives, capture transformation or lifestyle moments that resonate.
- Data-driven mindset: comfortable using analytics/insights to guide content iteration and optimisation (e.g., views, engagement rate, watch time).
- Excellent communication, copywriting skills (for captions, hooks, calls to action).
- Ability to work proactively, manage multiple shoots, edit pipeline, meet deadlines, and adapt to rapid changes.
- A strong portfolio with examples of viral or high-engagement content.
- Bonus: Familiarity with emerging tools (AI-assisted editing, filters, AR/social shopping features) and mobile filmmaking aesthetics.

- Increase in bookings/foot traffic attributable to social campaigns (tracked via promo codes, links).
- Consistent output: e.g., producing X video pieces per week/month, maintaining quality and timeliness.
