Location: Greenpoint, Brooklyn, NY (In Person)
Compensation: $25/hr, ~3 days/week to start
Type: Contract, full-time through year end.
The Role
We’re looking for a content creator interested in taking everyday moments in our studio and turning them into highly watchable content. You’ll join a fast-paced design studio (that also manufactures all its own products!) and help us create fun and engaging stories—turning daily challenges, behind-the-scenes moments, and design problem-solving into highly watchable, narrative-driven short videos.
It’s an exciting time for us - we’re experimenting with a new format that’s working and we’re looking for someone who can help refine it into a repeatable, bingeable, brand-defining series.
What You’ll Do
- Film & edit shortform videos (~1–2 minutes) that highlight everyday problem-solving and design challenges in our studio.
- Structure stories with a clear arc, starting from raw footage and shaping a cohesive narrative.
- Think like a showrunner, not just a videographer—understand pacing, character, and audience engagement.
- Collaborate with the founder and team to refine tone, format, and workflow over time.
- Improve process—from video asset organization to tooling to editing shortcuts.
What You’ll BringTo the job:
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere (required).
- Familiarity with Sony A7 (or equivalent mirrorless video camera)
- Familiarity with Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator (bonus).
- Basic understanding of lighting and willingness to improve.
- A track record (professional or personal) of making watchable, structured content.
- Comfort working in a real studio environment—we’re not always quiet, but we’re always making.
To the team:
- Creative problem-solving with a structured mindset.
- Strong self-direction and ability to own and follow through on ideas.
- Curiosity about social media trends and narrative formats.
- A desire to grow in a small team environment with a lot of ownership.
Bonus Skills (Not Required, but Nice to Have)
- Graphic design or paid ad creative experience (could lead to additional hours).
- Experience with digital asset management systems like ResourceSpace.
- Animation, motion design, or typography chops.
