Position Overview
A private Miami family is seeking an exceptional, career-level Daytime Nanny to a newborn in May to join a fully staffed household. We are building a best-in-class childcare team and will only consider highly sophisticated professionals with substantial experience in refined private residences.
This position requires polish, discretion, emotional intelligence, and confidence interacting directly with the Principal and children in a structured, high-functioning home environment. The ideal candidate will integrate seamlessly into our existing team, ensuring continuity of care and communication across all household staff.

Core Responsibilities
- Childcare & Development
- Provide developmentally aligned, attentive childcare throughout the day
- Maintain structured daily routines, smooth transitions, and consistent boundaries
- Plan and facilitate enriching, age-appropriate activities (sensory play, reading, outdoor exploration, creative arts, water play)
- Support the family’s educational philosophy and developmental milestones
- Accompany children to activities, appointments, classes, and playdates
- Monitor and promote emotional well-being, social development, and self-regulation
- Incorporate multilingual exposure naturally into daily routines, play, reading, and conversation
- Household Team Coordination
- Execute seamless shift handoffs with the Night Nurse, including detailed verbal and written updates on each child’s day — mood, meals, naps, milestones, and any concerns
- Coordinate daily with the House Manager on scheduling, logistics, supply needs, vendor access, and any child-related household requirements
- Participate in weekly team alignment meetings with Night Nurse and House Manager to ensure continuity and proactive planning
- Maintain a shared communication log or digital system (as directed) for real-time updates across the care team
- Flag concerns or changes in routine promptly to both the Night Nurse and House Manager so nothing falls through the cracks
- Organization & Household Standards
- Manage child-related organization: wardrobe rotation, gear, toys, and supplies
- Handle children’s laundry with care for delicate and specialty items
- Maintain impeccable standards of safety, hygiene, and order in all child-related spaces
- Travel with the family domestically and internationally as requested
- Language Requirements
- Fluency in at least one of the following languages is required: Spanish, Italian, or Farsi. The family values multilingual exposure for the children and seeks a caregiver who can naturally incorporate language learning into daily routines, play, reading, and conversation. Native or near-native fluency is strongly preferred. Candidates fluent in multiple listed languages will be given priority consideration.
Schedule & Availability
Structured daytime coverage from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with the possibility of extended hours up to 9:00 PM as needed. Flexibility is essential, including weekend rotation or occasional weekend coverage to ensure consistent household support. The schedule will be coordinated with the Night Nurse and House Manager to guarantee uninterrupted, gap-free care around the clock.
Requirements, Experience & Qualifications
- 7+ years of private household nanny experience (estate-level or fully staffed homes strongly preferred)
- Demonstrated experience working within a coordinated household team (alongside night nurses, house managers, or household staff)
- Fluency in at least one of: Spanish, Italian, or Farsi (native or near-native preferred)
- Experience supporting a specific educational philosophy (Montessori, RIE, Waldorf, etc.) is a strong plus
- CPR and First Aid certified (current)
- Strong swimmer — water safety awareness and comfort supervising children in and around pools is essential
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Travel-ready with a valid passport (current)
