Full-Time Dental Assistant Instructor

Experienced Dental Assistant (RDA) to teach our Dental Assistant Morning & Afternoon courses. Full time position Monday through Thursdays, from 9am to 4:30pm, and Fridays 9am to 12:30pm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on and classroom instruction to dental assistant students utilizing Petra's curriculum, lab, exams, quizzes
• Demonstrate clinical procedures and best practices
• Support students’ learning and professional development
• Maintain organized classroom and lab environments
• Lead, manage, and grow the Dental Assistant program

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

At least 10 years experience as a Registered Dental Assistant, and be currently Registered as a Dental Assistant in Arkansas with all three stamps. Strong customer service and communication skills; excellent organizational and time management abilities; energetic, self-motivated, and professional; have a genuine passion for teaching and mentoring students.

In order to be approved as an instructor at Petra by the Ark Division of Higher Education, you must also fit into at least ONE of the following criteria:

Hold not less than a high school diploma or GED; and have seven (7) years of on-the-job training as a dental assistant; OR,

Hold not less than a high school diploma or GED; and shall have completed a program of instruction at a recognized school in a field directly related to the program in which they are teaching and 3 or more years experience as a RDA; OR,

Hold not less than an associate degree with 3 or more years experience as a RDA.

You would also need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate & interact with students.

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
