Full-Time Drug & Alcohol Therapist

New Directions Healthcare is on the lookout for a friendly, compassionate, and organized Experienced Drug and Alcohol Therapist to join our outpatient drug and alcohol facility in Erie, Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities:

• Case Management: Handle a caseload of up to 35 patients in an outpatient setting, providing comprehensive case management.
• Treatment Planning: Collaborate as a team member for the development of individualized treatment plans.
• Record Keeping: Maintain detailed and accurate written records in compliance with Federal, State, and accreditation standards.
• Counseling Services: Conduct group and individual counseling sessions, performing assessments and intake services.

Requirements:

• Expertise: Possess knowledge and apply substance use/abuse treatment to a diverse population, with at least 1 year of experience in Drug and Alcohol treatment.
• Versatility: Ability to work with a treatment group dealing with various addictions and addiction-related behaviors.
• Education: Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work. NDHC will consider a bachelor’s degree with previous drug and alcohol experience.
• Technical Skills: Basic computer skills with the ability to learn technology.
• Decision-Making: Exercise appropriate judgment and decision-making skills, working well under general supervision.
• Communication: Good communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with staff, patients, families, community agencies, and professionals.
• Organization: Well-organized with the ability to multitask.

Additional Information:

• Compensation: Pay commensurate with experience ($23.00-$29.00 per hour)
• Work Week: Full-time position with a 37.5-hour work week.
