Full-Time Esthetics Instructor (2 years Esthetics experience required)

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic esthetician (& nail specialist a plus) to fill our immediate Full-Time Esthetics Instructor opening. In this role, you will inspire and mentor aspiring beauty professionals by delivering engaging, comprehensive instruction in the esthetics field. Your expertise will help shape the next generation of skincare specialists, ensuring they gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in a supportive learning environment.

The hours for this position are Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and the potential for 1 night per week until 8:00 p.m.

• Starting Pay = $21.00 – $25.00 per hour

Job Summary

To instruct students effectively and prepare them for successful completion of the program, passing their New York State Board Exams and be gainfully employment in their chosen field.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Maintain a thorough knowledge of the school’s mission and educational objectives and strive to always attain them.
• Maintain a thorough, accurate and current knowledge of the subject matter taught.
• Teach and follow the school’s published curriculum.
• Provide students with fun, exciting demonstrations to teach practical skills.
• Maintain accurate student attendance records.
• Administer and grade written and practical tests.
• Complete all required paperwork.
• Attend and complete required New York State and accrediting body training development courses
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• New York State Instructor License Requirements – MUST HAVE:
• This instructor license requires one of the following license combinations:
• Current, valid NYS Esthetics practical license OR
• Current, valid NYS Esthetics AND Nail practical licenses OR
• Current, valid NYS Cosmetology practical license
• At least 2 years proven practical, licensed work experience in Esthetics OR in both Esthetics AND Nails
• High school diploma or GED
• Additional Requirements:
• Excellent oral communication and presentation skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Effective problem-solving skills
• Basic computer skills to use email, spreadsheet, presentation and student e-book software
• Possess the ability to spend 80-100% of the typical work shift circulating the classroom
