Full Time Family Assistant/Nanny Needed for 3 Children

A friendly, family in Hingham is looking for an experienced, full-time Nanny/Family Assistant to care for their three children — twins who will turn 4 in April and an older child turning 7 in May. This long-term role is ideal for a self-starting caregiver who enjoys working with multiple children, supporting family routines, and providing a nurturing, structured, and engaging environment.

Requirements

• At least 21 years old
• CPR / First Aid certified
• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; a family vehicle will be provided
• Comfortable caring for multiple children at once
• Open to occasional travel and overnight stays

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, loving care for all three children
• Plan and engage in age-appropriate developmental activities (reading, music, creative play, outdoor play, etc.)
• Support daily routines including meal preparation and cleanup, children’s laundry, and maintaining tidiness of play and common areas
• Oversee scheduled contractors or service providers as needed
• Assist with family household tasks such as laundry, dishes, and light tidying
• Collaborate with parents on routines, schedules, and developmental strategies
• Partner with Mom when needed on activities, outings, or childcare tasks
• On-the-job driving as needed; occasional travel and overnight stays with the family
• Maintain a safe and nurturing environment and enforce age-appropriate boundaries

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and confident managing three children while maintaining a calm and positive presence. They are a true self-starter who naturally sees what needs attention and takes initiative without needing direction. They enjoy partnering with parents and are comfortable working alongside Mom at times while also operating independently. The family is seeking someone energetic, punctual, engaging, and communicative, who values teamwork and can provide consistent structure, warmth, and age-appropriate boundaries. A caregiver who enjoys outdoor activities and fostering curiosity will thrive in this role.

About the Family
Dad works from home in a separate office, and Mom will also be around and may occasionally join the nanny and children for outings and activities. The family values teamwork, proactive communication, and a collaborative household environment.

Position Details

• Schedule: Monday-Friday 12-7 PM with an additional flexible 5 hours if preferred
• Start Date: June but flexible in either direction for the right fit!
• Rate: $35–$40/hour BOE; taxes withheld
• Benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation, 5 paid sick days, paid holidays, negotiable healthcare stipend

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
