Full Time Fine Dining Server

Austin Country Club (ACC) is accepting resumes for the position of Full-Time Fine Dining Server. We are seeking a passionate, hardworking individual who has inspiring ideas, technical skills to overcome challenges, and a passion for producing memorable experiences for our members. Founded in 1899, Austin Country Club is one of the oldest existing clubs in Texas and home to one of the greatest golf instructors who ever lived, Harvey Penick. A private, family-oriented club rich in tradition, known for the quality of its membership and for service that exceeds expectations.

What you will do:

  • Deliver first-class service to our members
  • Support team members and managers with premium guest services
  • Responsible for the daily setup and breakdown of the dining area
  • Be knowledgeable of all food and beverage offerings including ingredients, methods of preparation and proper service; be able to explain all food and beverage items listed on the menu
  • Ensure members checks are accurate and closed out properly
  • Prepare server check out report and accurate tip outs
  • Provide friendly yet discreet and unobtrusive service in: greeting, seating and waiting on all members
  • Anticipate members' needs, both internal & external
  • Assist members with food and beverage orders
  • Answer member questions with regards to food & beverage
  • Engage members when appropriate to make them feel welcomed and "at home"
  • Ensure the pantry, common areas, dining area and overall environment is presentable throughout the course of the day
  • Assist management to ensure the consistent integrity of the physical facility where food & beverages are served and stored
  • Monitor hospitality areas to ensure they are kept clean, safe and code compliant. Communicate with Manager any issues and assist as needed.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge/interest in food and beverage.
  • Complete any additional tasks as assigned by Food & Beverage Director and management team
  • Attend and participate at all scheduled meetings and trainings
  • Participate in teamwork and foster harmonious working climate
  • Give feedback on guest comments or complaints to the management
  • Report employee and guest accidents

What we are looking for:

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GE
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in a restaurant and serving position. Club experience is a plus.
  • Deep knowledge of wine, spirits, beer, and food, with a strong understanding of proper service standards, including timing and execution of coursed dining experiences
  • Basic computer skills are a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to Stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time

Availability

  • This position is available for full or part time individuals. Candidates must be willing to have flexible schedules and must be willing to work weekdays, weekends and holidays.
  • Shifts will differ from 4-8 hours.
  • Split shifts (doubles) may be occasionally scheduled.

Salary:

Austin Country Club prides itself on offering competitive and comparable compensation.

Base Rate: $13.00/hour + *service charge

  • Service Charge = 19% of your F&B sales
