Duties

• Lead and supervise firefighting crews during emergency incidents, ensuring prompt and effective response to fires, rescues, and hazardous situations
• Coordinate daily station activities, including training exercises, equipment maintenance, and safety protocols
• Conduct thorough inspections of fire equipment, vehicles, and facilities to ensure operational readiness and compliance with safety standards
• Provide clear instructions and support to team members during high-pressure situations, fostering teamwork and effective communication
• Assist in developing and implementing training programs
• Maintain accurate incident reports, shift logs, and equipment maintenance records for accountability and continuous improvement

Certifications/Qualifications

• 3-5 years fire department experience and 1-3 years supervisor experience at Fire Lieutenant or higher
• Certifications: AHA CPR/AED, NC EMT, NC EVD, NC Firefighter, NC Hazmat Ops, NC D/O Pumps, NIMS - IS 100.c, IS 200.c, IS 700.b and IS 703.b, ICS 300 - Reciprocity Accepted
• NC Fire Instructor Level I or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment

Position Hiring Range

• $50,000.00 to $55,000.00
