Role Description

The Gate Host is responsible for screening all incoming vehicles before entering the property. This position reports for their shifts at the Greeters Cottage at the entrance of property. As Gate Host, you will be one of the first friendly faces as homeowners and guests enter our community. From welcoming visitors to providing information about our resort amenities, your role will be crucial in creating lasting memories for our guests. This position also assists with staffing our Shuttle and may from time-to-time provide transportation to homeowners and guests. Below is not an all encompassing list of Responsibilities and Duties, subject to change with training and updating of SOPs.

● Greet guests, staff and homeowners upon arrival at the property.

● Log vehicles as they enter the property.

● Vacation Rental Check-In’s.

● Answer all phone calls and log each call.

● Receive and log all packages delivered to Greeters Cottage.

● Completion of Daily Checklist.

● Maintain cash drawer.

● Review daily guest information to determine needs.

● Accurately communicate information and respond to guests, homeowners, and staff.

● Daily rounds both indoors and outdoors to ensure Bear Lake standards are being met.

● Maintaining an indoor and outdoor fireplace.

● Able to execute decisions based on job knowledge.

● Provides safe transportation for on-property or off-property events and activities.

● Creating and assisting with Lodging Reservations.

● Completion of Shift Report. Shift Hours4pm-12am, 40 hours a week with benefits

Payrate

$15/hr

Qualifications

• Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to effectively assist guests, residents, and team members required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to commute to Tuckasegee, NC for on-site responsibilities required.
• High School diploma, or equivalent, required.
• Must be able to operate a company vehicle safely
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Hospitality experience preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
