Full time hotel maintenance engineer

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Full-Time Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and safety of our hotel facilities. This vital role involves maintaining a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, troubleshooting issues promptly, and performing preventative maintenance to uphold the highest standards of guest comfort and safety. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude to keep our hotel running smoothly around the clock.

Duties

  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical panels, plumbing, elevators, and other critical hotel infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Operate and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs), hydraulic systems, low voltage controls, and high voltage equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule upcoming tasks.
  • Perform welding (including <LOCATION> welding where applicable), scissor lift operation, and other industrial maintenance tasks with safety as a priority.
  • Respond swiftly to field service requests related to manufacturing facilities or hotel operations, ensuring minimal disruption to guests or staff.
  • Collaborate with team members on technical sales initiatives by providing expert advice on system upgrades or repairs.
  • Follow detailed schematics and technical diagrams for complex repairs while adhering to safety standards for high voltage and industrial electrician work.

Skills

  • Extensive experience in industrial maintenance within manufacturing facilities or similar environments.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in HVAC/R systems and electrical skills..
  • Familiarity with CMMS platforms for maintenance tracking and management.
  • Knowledge of low voltage electrical systems, high voltage safety protocols, and electrical testing tools like ammeters and ohmmeters.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on effective communication in English across diverse teams or client interactions.
  • Background in industrial mechanic experience or military technical training is highly desirable for this role.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform analysis of system failures quickly and implement effective solutions under pressure.
