Full-time In-Vivo Research Technician

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Technician (Part-Time/Full-Time) to join our dynamic preclinical research team in the La Jolla area. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting behavioral pharmacology studies, managing in vivo research projects, and maintaining high standards of laboratory practice. Responsibilities

· Conduct preclinical behavioral pharmacology experiments following established protocols.

· Independently run assigned studies and troubleshoot experimental challenges as needed.

· Assist the Principal Scientist with routine and novel research projects.

· Perform compound administration to rodents via various routes (p.o., s.c., i.v., i.p.).

· Manage multiple research projects simultaneously while ensuring adherence to study timelines.

· Maintain meticulous records of experimental procedures and results in laboratory information systems.

· Perform animal care responsibilities.

· Work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and holidays, to meet research needs.

· Contribute to the development and optimization of experimental techniques and methodologies.

Skills and Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Biology, Neuroscience, or a related field.

·*** Minimum of 1 year of hands-on in vivo laboratory research experience.

· Strong expertise in rodent handling, care, and dosing techniques.

· Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

· Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and record-keeping skills.

· Strong oral and written communication skills in English.

· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

· Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and troubleshoot experiments effectively.

· Commitment to working in an animal research environment and conducting hands-on procedures with mice and rats.
