Household Dynamic: This is a structured, organized, and loving home with two physician parents who work outside of the home. The family values punctuality, reliability, respect, and consistency. Their parenting style blends warmth and nurturing with clear boundaries and age-appropriate accountability. Routine and timeliness are especially important, particularly for school mornings and activities.

The primary responsibility during school hours will be full-time care of the infant, who will be three months old at the start of the position. The baby follows predictable feeding and nap rhythms, enjoys walks and tummy time, and thrives with attentive, developmentally supportive care. Infant experience is absolutely essential for this role.

The older children are typically in school or daycare during the day. In the afternoons, the nanny will transition into caring for all four children after school pickup. The nanny should also be comfortable managing all children during school breaks, early release days, or when children must remain home due to minor illness or daycare closures.

The role includes childcare and household support that keeps the family running smoothly. Responsibilities include school transportation, activity drop-offs, homework support, children’s and family laundry, meal prep (including meal kits), tidying children’s spaces, light errands, organization projects, and walking the family’s senior Labrador. A professional cleaner services the home, so deep cleaning is not expected.

Transportation Requirements: The nanny must have a reliable personal vehicle that can safely accommodate up to four car seats. The family plans to purchase a dedicated nanny vehicle in the near future. In the meantime, the family will provide mileage reimbursement and a car wash membership to help keep the vehicle clean and well maintained.

Children:

Infant (3 months at start date)
The primary focus of this role during school hours. The baby eats approximately 4 oz every 3 hours and follows 90-minute wake windows. She enjoys walks, tummy time, and play mat activities. Safe sleep practices are followed (crib, on back, swaddled). Extensive infant experience is a must.

Almost 2-year-old
Sweet, smart, and fearless. Loves books, active play, and keeping up with older siblings. Requires close supervision, especially outdoors. Safety awareness is critical (gates closed, vigilant playground supervision). Likely beginning potty training soon.

5-year-old
Silly and compassionate. Capable of completing most age-appropriate tasks independently but enjoys engagement and attention from caregivers. Thrives with playful connection.

6-year-old
Curious, organized, and punctual. Does not do well when running late and benefits from proactive time management support. Completes daily homework with minimal oversight and responds well to gentle prompting. Allergy to Amoxicillin.

Ideal Candidate: The ideal nanny is dependable, highly punctual, organized, and confident caring for a young infant while also managing multiple children in the afternoons. This family is seeking a long-term professional who takes initiative, maintains structure, communicates clearly, and brings a calm, steady presence to a busy household.

The right candidate will feel confident leading the afternoon routine, balancing infant needs with school-age transitions, and reinforcing consistency and respect within the home.
