Full-Time Infant Nanny Needed | Rowayton, CT

A warm, first-time family in Rowayton, Connecticut is seeking a full-time nanny to care for their infant daughter, born February 2026. The position will begin late April / early May, ideally with 1–2 weeks of overlap before mom returns to work.

This role is ideal for an experienced nanny who enjoys working with infants and is excited to partner with first-time parents as they navigate their baby’s first year.

Schedule
Monday–Friday

Typical weekly hours will be 50–55 hours, with no more than 12 hours in a single day.
Two days per week may run up to 12 hours, while Fridays will typically end earlier.

The family will guarantee a minimum of 40 hours per week, though 50–55 hours will be the typical schedule most weeks. Some flexibility with daily hours is appreciated as work schedules may vary slightly week to week.

The earliest start time would be around 7:00 AM, with many days beginning closer to 7:30–8:00 AM, particularly when parents are working from home.

Compensation & Benefits

$30–$35 per hour depending on experience.

About the Role

The nanny’s primary focus will be caring for the baby and supporting development throughout the infant stage. The ideal candidate has strong experience with newborns and infants and feels comfortable supporting:

• Feeding routines and breastmilk bottle prep
• Sleep routines and infant schedules
• Monitoring developmental milestones
• Introducing solids when age appropriate
• Age-appropriate activities and outings as the baby grows

Both parents work full-time, with a mix of work-from-home and in-office days. They are looking for a nanny who communicates well and enjoys working collaboratively with parents.

Light household tasks related to the baby are appreciated, including:

• Baby laundry
• Cleaning and preparing bottles
• Loading/unloading dishwasher
• Keeping baby areas tidy

Family Environment

Grandparents are excited to be involved and may spend time with the baby as well. The family values creating a supportive environment where everyone works together around the child.

The household also includes a friendly 42-pound rescue dog. Childcare is the primary focus, though occasional help letting the dog out may be appreciated. The family plans to arrange additional support for the dog as needed.
