Responsibilities
- Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy education, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional growth.
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive behavior management.
- Support children’s development through tailored activities that address individual needs, including special education and early intervention strategies.
- Foster strong communication with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
- Maintain classroom organization and management to facilitate smooth daily routines and transitions.
- Use classroom management techniques to promote respectful behavior and emotional regulation among young learners.
- Incorporate Montessori methods or other educational philosophies to enhance learning experiences when appropriate.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy education strategies.
- Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and standardized testing procedures.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, staff, and students.
- Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is advantageous.

Pay: $16.50 - $19.00 per hour
