Responsibilities

• Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy education, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional growth.
• Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive behavior management.
• Support children’s development through tailored activities that address individual needs, including special education and early intervention strategies.
• Foster strong communication with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
• Maintain classroom organization and management to facilitate smooth daily routines and transitions.
• Use classroom management techniques to promote respectful behavior and emotional regulation among young learners.
• Incorporate Montessori methods or other educational philosophies to enhance learning experiences when appropriate.

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.
• Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy education strategies.
• Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and standardized testing procedures.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, staff, and students.
• Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is advantageous.

Pay: $16.50 - $19.00 per hour
