PLS seeks a full-time Assistant Kitchen and Bathroom Designer to join its team, with the
potential to grow within the company. The ideal candidate will have the ambition to help the
team grow and reach its goals and objectives year after year.
If you meet the position's goals and objectives, you can advance within the company within a
year. This is the only option.
Performance objectives are:
Assist the designer with design layouts
- Conduct some on-site measurements
- Meet with clients to go over layouts, cabinet and hardware selections, and design ideas.
- Work on 2020 Design Software
- Work on Chief Architect Design Software
- Assist with ordering and tracking cabinet orders
- Generate proposals
- Receive and verify cabinet shipments
- Maintain cabinet accessory inventory
- Coordinate and communicate delivery and installation schedules with Clients, Vendors, Front Office, and Shop.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design is preferred, but not necessary
- At least one year of experience in designing kitchens and bathrooms
- 2020 Design Experience is a plusExperience with Chief Architect or similar CAD programs
- Excellent verbal skills and the ability to communicate professionally
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to interpret project and plan specifications
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with contractors and homeowners
- Knowledge of appliance specifications and integration into kitchen design
- Ability to adjust quickly to new or changing assignments, processes, and personnel Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word, Internet
- Knowledge of the kitchen design process
- Perform job responsibilities efficiently and on time.

Responsibilities:
- Working interdependently with the current kitchen and bathroom designer.
- Working with project mangers and shop managers
- Working to be very productive with efficiency and effectiveness regarding the performance objectives listed above for this role
