Full Time Math Teacher with Math Counts AMC 8 / 10 Experience (In-person)

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for passionate Math instructors to train students for math competitions such as MathCounts and American Mathematics Competition sequence (AMC 8/10/12/AIME) using AlphaStar Academy curriculum.

START DATE

• Latest August 10, 2026
• Preferred starting with 2026 Summer Camps
• (Camp 1: Jun 8-26 / Camp 2: Jun 29 - Jul 17 / Camp 3: Jul 20 - Aug 7)

JOB DUTIES

• Teaching year-round courses on weekends and weekday afternoons/evenings during the academic year.
• Teaching at Summer and Winter camps
• Math Documentation: Writing/editing problems, solutions, lecture notes, exams etc.
• Other duties include traveling to math competitions/events and helping with Math event organizations.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree (in Math or Math Education or related field is a big plus)
• Experience in participating or coaching Math Competitions such as MATHCOUNTS and American Mathematics Competitions
• Teaching/tutoring/coaching experience
• Enjoy problem-solving and teaching
• Can communicate well with colleagues, parents, and students
• Can work well in a team
• Experience in writing lecture notes, problems, exams is a plus
