Full-time Medical Assistant

Job Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Full-time Medical Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will directly impact patient care and clinic efficiency. In this vital role, you will support one physician in a dermatology practice. Qualified candidates will be great with people and have at least one year of experience in a dermatology practice. Must be comfortable working on an iPad, scribing the patient visit, and multi-tasking. Experience with Modernizing Medicine EMA EMR is preferred.

Duties

• Rooming patients
• Documenting the patient's chief complaint
• Presenting the patient to the doctor
• Acting as a scribe
• Assisting the physician with medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatologic procedures
• Providing basic wound care, suture removal, phlebotomy
• Providing patient education
• Answering phones and scheduling appointments
• Refilling prescription requests, securing prior authorizations, and completing pathology logs
• Scanning, data entry, and general clerical duties
• Cross-covering for front desk when needed
• Prior experience working in a clinical setting in dermatology
• Hands-on experience with EHR systems, preferable EMA by Modernizing Medicine.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology enhances your ability to deliver excellent patient care

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
