Full Time Mental Health Therapist/Counselor

We are seeking a full-time therapist (licensed or license-eligible) to be part of our company. As a full-time therapist at Family Recovery, you will enjoy a four-day hybrid work week in a supportive team environment, while making impactful changes in the lives of your clients and in your local community. Family Recovery is a small team of professional clinicians working primarily with court-mandated adults and community mental health clients throughout the Northeast Georgia region.

Our primary work is with outpatient adult offenders whose treatment is often a condition of their sentences. It can be an incredibly rewarding experience to both help our clients change for the better, while also helping reduce victimization in the community at the same time. We work with our clients for extended periods (1-3 years), so we're able to be part of celebrating their successes as they reincorporate back into society.

Guiding others through change isn't always easy, so we understand that it's just as important to invest in our therapists' wellbeing and self-care. We do this in a number of ways:

  • We're closed every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
  • 10 paid days off per year, given upfront (use at your leisure through the year)
  • A paid ~ 2 week winter break, plus at least 6 paid holidays
  • Bonuses and wellness incentives
  • Typical Schedule: 3 days per week in-office, 1 day per week virtual/work from home

  • Salary paid biweekly
  • "No-show protection" (You will get paid whether you see a client or not)
  • Weekly mileage reimbursement
  • No on-call requirements
  • The opportunity to build new client relationships in areas that interest you

As a full-time therapist, your job will include:

  • Individual and group therapy, in-person and telehealth
  • Conducting evaluations and risk assessments
  • Maintaining client files and case notes
  • Writing and submitting treatment reports
  • Communicating with GA Department of Community Supervision and other community partners
  • Attending trainings, team meets, and various professional development opportunities
  • Administrative duties, such as answering phones, light office work/cleaning

We're happy to see you're interested in us! You are qualified for this job if you:

  • Have a Master's degree in social work, counseling, or related field
  • You have your social work or counseling license, or are license-eligible
  • Are willing to conduct therapy at all our office locations: Gainesville, Suwanee, & Monroe

  • Have strong writing and speaking skills
  • Can meet firm submission deadlines for record-keeping and reports
