About the Role

Dunbar Security Solutions is seeking a dependable and professional Full-Time Morning Security Officer to join our team at an industrial complex in Elkton, MD.

In this role, you will help maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and property by being a visible presence, monitoring activity, and responding promptly to incidents. This position is ideal for someone who is observant, proactive, and takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly and safely.

MUST HAVE OWN RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a strong visible presence throughout facility entrances, shipping docks, and key access points• Monitor surveillance systems, gates, and access control equipment to ensure only authorized personnel enter restricted areas• Conduct regular patrols of buildings, perimeters, parking areas, and storage zones• Observe and report any suspicious activity, unsafe conditions, or policy violations• Respond calmly and efficiently to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, contact law enforcement or EMS as needed• Complete detailed and accurate daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation• Provide courteous assistance to employees, contractors, and visitors while maintaining a professional demeanor• Adhere to all site-specific security procedures and company safety protocols

Qualifications

• Valid Maryland Security Officer License• Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings• Comfortable working in an active industrial setting, indoors and outdoors• Able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods• Strong observation skills and attention to detail• Dependable, punctual, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision• Excellent communication and professionalism when interacting with employees and site management• Calm under pressure and able to respond effectively to unexpected situations
