Full-Time Nanny

Compensation: $33-$38 an hour

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5:00pm

Description: A warm and welcoming family is seeking an experienced, nurturing, and highly engaged nanny to care for two young children: a curious and creative 2.5-year-old and an active 6-month-old infant. This is a wonderful opportunity for a professional nanny who enjoys supporting early childhood development, fostering imaginative play, and becoming a trusted and valued part of a family’s daily life.

The ideal candidate is warm, nurturing, and genuinely passionate about working with young children. They are patient and calm, particularly during emotional or transitional moments, and bring a creative, high-energy approach that allows them to actively engage a curious and imaginative toddler. This person is proactive and organized, taking initiative in planning age-appropriate activities and maintaining consistent routines, while also being a strong communicator who keeps parents informed with daily updates, milestones, and any concerns.

The right candidate will be confident in all aspects of infant care, including bottles, naps, diapering, and tummy time, while also being comfortable supporting toddler development such as early learning activities and potty training. They should have experience planning and facilitating enriching outings like park visits and library trips, and be flexible and adaptable within a dynamic family schedule. Above all, they should support a gentle, positive, and respectful caregiving approach that aligns with the family’s values.

Role Responsibilities:

The nanny will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally rich environment for both children, including:

• Managing and coordinating infant and toddler schedules (feeding, naps, transitions)
• Engaging in creative, imaginative, and hands-on activities
• Preschool pick up and drop offs (starting in the fall)
• Supporting developmental milestones through play and interaction
• Planning age-appropriate activities, including outdoor time, walks, playground visits, and library outings
• Preparing simple, healthy meals and snacks for the children
• Light cleanup related to the children (meals, play areas, toys)

Household Environment:

• No screen time; focus is on active, hands-on, and imaginative play
• Daily outdoor time when weather permits
• Peanut-free household (due to parent allergy)
• Emphasis on routine, structure, and consistency while remaining flexible to children’s needs

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience caring for infants/toddlers
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Strong communication skills and willingness to ask questions
• CPR and First Aid Certified
• Excellent References at least (3)
• Reliable transportation/license
• Non-smoker
• Willing to submit background check and motor vehicle report
• Able to make at least a year commitment - two ideally
• Comfortable with both parents working from home
• Up to date on vaccinations
