Full-Time Nanny for 18-Month-Old - Madison, AL

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, nurturing, and proactive nanny to provide attentive care for our active 18-month-old son. The ideal candidate is passionate about child development, reliable, and eager to engage in enrichment activities without relying on screen time.

The position starts in late March 2026 and will likely continue through at least late 2026, with the potential to extend through mid-2027.

Schedule

• 9 AM to 5 PM
• Monday through Friday
• 40 hours per week

Start Date

• March 30th (Flexible for an earlier start for the right candidate)

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay Rate: $17 – $23/hr (Commensurate with experience)
• Employment Type: W-2 position paid via payroll service.
• Benefits: Paid Holidays and Paid Time Off (PTO).

Responsibilities

• Childcare: Provide attentive, safety-focused caregiving at all times.
• Engagement: Plan and lead age-appropriate enrichment activities (reading, play, sensory activities) with no-screen-time.
• Meals: Prepare snacks/meals for the child and handle cleanup (high chair, dishes, etc.).
• Hygiene: Manage diaper changes, restock the diaper station, and sanitize the changing area/bathroom weekly.
• Light Housekeeping: Maintain a tidy environment, including folding and putting away the child’s laundry.
• Communication: Provide daily updates to parents regarding activities, mood, and progress.

Requirements

• Experience caring for toddlers (specifically around 18 months).
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Clean criminal background check.
• Fully vaccinated (including COVID-19).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Non-smoker / Non-vaper.
• Professional references available upon request.
• Preferred: CPR and First Aid certification.

Additional Information

• Both parents work from home. We are looking for someone who can navigate this dynamic respectfully.
• There are cameras in the living spaces.
• Our strong preference is for a nanny who does not bring their own children. However, we may consider exceptions on a case-by-case basis if the child is very close in age to ours.

Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
