A Rancho Santa Fe family is seeking a highly experienced, proactive, and reliable full-time nanny to support their household and provide consistent, attentive care for their four children. This is a long-term opportunity for a professional nanny who thrives in a structured yet dynamic environment and can confidently manage the day-to-day flow of the home.

During the school year, the children are in school for much of the day. This role includes managing transportation, coordinating schedules, and proactively using mid-day hours to ensure the household remains organized, prepared, and running smoothly.

This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, and takes pride in executing a well-run day, while remaining flexible as schedules evolve.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate care for the children

• Play an active role in busy mornings, including preparing breakfast and ensuring the children are out the door on time
• Confidently manage and execute the daily schedule with consistency and structure
• Handle school pick-ups, transportation, and activity coordination
• Maintain organization across the children’s routines, belongings, and spaces
• Support the overall flow of the home, including:
• • Family laundry
  • Simple, healthy meal preparation
• Use mid-day hours proactively for household support, organization, and preparation
• Work collaboratively alongside a household assistant
• Communicate clearly and responsively with parents throughout the day

• Anticipate needs and proactively keep the household running smoothly

Ideal Candidate

• Extremely reliable and punctual, especially for early morning start times

• Strong executor who can take direction and run the day independently
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
• Warm, intuitive caregiver who genuinely connects with children and is present and engaged in their day-to-day lives
• Able to maintain structure and boundaries while creating a positive, nurturing environment
• Proactive and intuitive, able to anticipate needs and minimize back-and-forth
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving household
• Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset
• Experienced with multiple children and loves working in a busy household
• Comfortable around dogs and enjoys being in a pet-friendly home

Schedule & Logistics

• Monday–Friday schedule with a 6:30 AM start time

• Guaranteed 45 hours per week
• Typical schedule ranges from 45–55 hours per week
• Mornings and evenings are the busiest parts of the day, with lighter hours mid-day
• Weekly schedule is confirmed in advance, with flexibility required based on family needs

• During lighter hours or when the family travels without the nanny, responsibilities may shift toward household support and organization

Travel

• Regular travel required, including summer months (June/July) and holidays

• Travel may be immersive and require flexibility

• All travel expenses covered, plus a daily stipend in addition to regular pay

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive compensation aligned with a high-level, long-term role

• Starting at $40/hour, depending on experience and overall fit

Benefits include:

• 5 days paid time off (PTO) annually

• • PTO should be requested and planned in advance whenever possible

• 5 days paid sick leave annually

Paid Holidays:

• New Year’s Day

• Thanksgiving Day

Holiday Policy:
If care is required on a holiday, the nanny will be paid at 1.5x their hourly rate.

This is a high-touch, family-centered role centered around consistency, reliability, and strong day-to-day execution. The nanny will be a steady, trusted presence in the home and an important part of keeping things running smoothly.
