Compensation: $28-30+ per hour (W-2) | 1.5x for hours > 40 | Minimum guaranteed hours
Schedule Coverage Needed:
- Mon - Thu 7:15am - 4:30pm
- Fri 7:15am - 3:30pm
- Flexibility to adjust standard hours and start as early as 7:00am / stay as late as 6:00pm based on seasonal extracurricular activity schedule and parent work travel schedules
- Open to one full-time nanny OR two part-time nannies who divide the day (e.g., Morning / Afternoon) OR two part-time nannies who divide the week (M-W-F and T - Th)
About the Role:
You'll care for three curious, outdoors, craft, storytelling, and pretend play-loving siblings (5, 3, 1). Most days center on our 1-year-old; the older two join before / after school and on school holidays. Our 3-year old is in full-day school 3 days per week this year and will be in school 5 full days next year. The 5-year-old is in school full time.
Core Responsibilities:
- Prepare healthy breakfasts, lunches, and snacks
- Plan and lead engaging activities: backyard play, park trips, hikes, art, STEM experiments, building projects, pretend play, reading; maintain our zero-screen-time approach
- School logistics: preschool drop-off/pick-up, kindergarten pickup, driving to after school activities (family car with car seats provided)
- Support routines: naps, homework help
- Household: tidy play areas, children's laundry, light family-assistant and house manager tasks during naptime and as kids' school hours expand
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years caring for multiple children or equivalent experience (e.g., daycare teacher, large sibling family, parent of several kids)
- Demonstrated long-term job commitment (2+ years at past positions)
- Passion for child development, playful creativity, calm problem-solving, punctual and dependable
- Reliable personal vehicle, clean driving record, comfortable winter driver
- Non-smoker, up-to-date on vaccines, willing to pass background check
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Fluent or conversational Spanish; eager to weave Spanish into play
- Background in early childhood or elementary education
- Love for Colorado outdoors - trail walks, mud-kitchen play, nature crafts
- Experience adding family assistant and household manager duties over time
- Current CPR/First Aid (or willing to obtain)
