Job Summary

Pittsburgh, PA | Upper St Clair

• Start Date: As soon as the perfect fit is found!
• Hours: Guaranteed 40 hours/week, Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm
• Hourly Rate: $27-30
• Children: 3 & 4-year-old boys
• Pets: 1 Golden Retriever
• Paid Vacation: 1 week nanny’s choice, 1 week family’s choice, 3 sick/personal days, and all major holidays.
• Requirements: up-to-date vaccinations; prefer someone who receives flu and COVID shots regularly

Responsibilities and Duties

WHO/WHAT: Energy, imagination, and plenty of fun! If you believe life with preschoolers is all about curiosity, creativity, and lots of laughter, this might be your perfect job. This warm and welcoming Upper St. Clair family is searching for a nanny who’s excited to engage with their two active and imaginative little boys, ages three and four, as they explore the world around them.

Their days are filled with dancing in the living room, drawing colorful masterpieces, painting, kicking a soccer ball in the yard, and discovering new adventures around the city. These curious brothers love gymnastics, music, creative play, and getting out into the world. Library story times, children’s museums, playground adventures, and neighborhood explorations are all part of the fun. The family would especially love a nanny who enjoys getting out and about and helping the children experience everything Pittsburgh has to offer. During the summer months, they belong to St. Clair Country Club and would be thrilled to have a nanny who enjoys pool days and helping the boys splash, swim, and build confidence in the water. Your mornings and afternoons will revolve around engaging the children through play, creativity, and adventure. The role also includes helping keep the household running smoothly with children’s laundry, light tidying such as vacuuming and sweeping play areas, simple dinner prep for the family, and occasional help keeping an eye on their friendly Golden Retriever (a dog walker handles daily walks).

When PreK starts in late August, the schedule will adjust slightly, though the family will always guarantee 40 hours per week. This family hopes to find someone who wants to grow with them for years to come — someone who becomes a trusted and joyful presence in their children’s lives.
