Schedule: Monday & Friday: 8:45 AM – 6:15 PM Tuesday–Thursday: 8:15 AM – 6:15 PM

Start: March 2026

Salary: $40 per hour

Children: An 8-year-old boy who is social, athletic, and loves reading A 6-year-old girl who is creative, independent, and enjoys sports, art, and books A fun-loving 4-year-old girl who is silly, imaginative, and loves dolls and art A happy 1-month-old baby boy who will become the primary focus of this role A warm, professional family in Larchmont is seeking a collaborative and proactive Family Assistant/Nanny to join their household team. The family has four children (ages 8, 6, 4, and 1 month). The three older children attend school full-time and have an afternoon nanny from 3:00–6:15 PM. This role combines infant care with meaningful household support. The family is looking for someone who enjoys being a true partner in keeping a busy household running smoothly. Role Overview Through July (while mom is on maternity leave): During this period, the role will lean more heavily toward household support while also assisting with childcare as needed. Responsibilities may include: Doing dishes and kitchen cleanup Family laundry Preparing children’s lunches Keeping children’s rooms and common areas tidy General household organization and day-to-day upkeep The family has a weekly cleaning service for deep cleaning, but they are looking for someone who can help maintain the daily flow of the household and partner with them in keeping things running smoothly. Beginning in July/August (when mom returns to work): The role will expand to include full-time care of the infant, including maintaining feeding and nap routines, developmental engagement, and attentive daily care. Household support responsibilities will continue alongside childcare. Additional responsibilities may include backup care for the older children when needed (for example, school closures or when the afternoon nanny is unavailable). Schedule Flexibility While mom is on maternity leave, the schedule may begin with fewer hours per day and gradually increase when she returns to work later this summer.
