Location: Sincera Urgent Care, Pella

Job Summary:

Sincera Urgent Care in Pella, IA is seeking a dedicated and compassionate RN, LPN or CMA to join our independent, locally owned healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, support providers and will go above and beyond to meet and exceed patient expectations and will work with an amazing and talented group of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform triage, obtain patient history, and document patient information accurately while conveying a caring demeanor. The applicant will remember that Urgent Care is a stressful time for patients and will do what is needed to provide warmth and empathy while working at a fast pace.
• Obtain swabs and specimens as indicated by patients’ symptoms. Administer medications, injections, IV therapy (if in the scope of their practice) and other treatments as directed by providers.
• Monitor patient progress and provide updates to providers.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and always maintain a compassionate and professional demeanor.
• Maintain clean and organized patient care areas and ensure compliance with infection control policies and procedures.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing professional development to stay current with the best practices in urgent care nursing.
• Call results to patients in a timely manner and follow up with patients’ needs and requests as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Current, valid nursing license/certification in the state of Iowa.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience. Will train the right person.
• BLS and Mandatory Reporter certifications required.
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to perform a wide range of nursing duties, both independently and with colleagues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment, while preserving the importance of caring for the whole patient and being sensitive to the current situation.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time position with (possibly) variable shifts, including some evenings and weekends.
• Fast-paced urgent care environment with exposure to infectious diseases and medical emergencies.
• Physical demands include standing for long periods, possibly lifting patients and handling medical equipment.
