Full Time Phlebotomist

Position Summary

We are an Any Lab Test Now + ARCpoint Labs dual-brand location seeking a full-time Phlebotomist / Collection Specialist to support a fast-paced, customer-focused specimen collection environment. This role performs blood draws and a variety of other collections (DNA and toxicology), with training provided for our processes and additional services.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical/consumer collections

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws for clinical testing, following laboratory-specific instructions.
• Collect DNA buccal swabs per kit/lab instructions.
• Collect toxicology specimens including:
• Urine drug screens (DOT and Non-DOT as assigned; DOT requires qualification/training).
• Oral fluid collections following device instructions and required pre-collection wait time.
• Hair collections per laboratory guidance.

Operations & customer experience

• Process, package, and prepare specimens for shipment/pickup by reference laboratories.
• Maintain required PPE use, cleanliness, and a professional, health-forward appearance.
• Protect patient privacy and handle information appropriately (HIPAA expectations).

Occupational/Employer services (training provided)

• Support basic occupational health services as trained (e.g., lift testing, respirator fit testing).

Travel / coverage

• Complete required training and provide occasional coverage at our Santa Fe Springs location.

Required Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification (per California/state and local requirements).
• Strong customer service skills and comfort working directly with the public.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to follow laboratory collection instructions and chain-of-custody processes.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between Santa Ana and Santa Fe Springs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DNA collections and/or drug testing collections (urine, oral fluid, hair).
• DOT collector qualification (or willingness to obtain; training is required for DOT-regulated testing).

Training

Training is provided for brand-specific processes, systems, and additional collection/occupational services.
