Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical conditions, including mobility limitations and functional impairments.
- Develop and execute tailored care plans utilizing evidence-based physiotherapy practices such as trigger point therapy, orthopedics, and geriatrics.
- Provide hands-on therapy sessions to improve strength, flexibility, and movement in patients recovering from injuries or surgeries.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning and ensure seamless transition of care from hospital to home or community settings.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, injury prevention strategies, and use of assistive devices to promote ongoing recovery.
- Document patient progress accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with advances in physiotherapy techniques and medical terminology.
Requirements
- Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist with relevant regulatory bodies.
- Proven experience in acute care hospital environments, outpatient clinics, or home health care settings.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology essential for effective treatment planning.
- Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive care plans incorporating discharge planning and patient-centered goals.
- Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics and geriatrics; familiarity with home & community care preferred.
- Proficiency in EMR systems for documentation and patient management.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with healthcare teams and educate patients effectively.
- Ability to adapt treatment approaches based on individual patient needs within inpatient or outpatient contexts. Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
