Full Time Position at Luxury Eye Care & Eyewear Practice

Job Summary

As a full-time team member, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive eye health care, managing patient interactions, and supporting the optical and clinical operations. Responsibilities

  • Assist with patient intake, including gathering medical history, vital signs, and updating medical records using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as RevolutionEHR.
  • Support clinical staff by performing basic optometric procedures, including pre-test screening protocols and imaging.
  • Manage optical sales by advising patients on eyewear options, completing retail transactions, and maintaining inventory accuracy through retail math and management skills.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality during all interactions and documentation processes.
  • Coordinate with our spectacle labs for eyewear fabrication, ensuring quality control and proper fitting of glasses and contact lenses.
  • Assist in billing processes by understanding medical coding, medical billing procedures, and insurance claims related to ophthalmology services.
  • Maintain a clean, organized clinic environment adhering to aseptic techniques while supporting pediatric and senior care needs with compassionate professionalism.
  • Support the use of EMR systems like RevolutionEHR for scheduling, documentation, and tracking patient progress efficiently.
  • Contribute to retail sales growth through excellent customer service skills, retail management knowledge, and understanding of retail math principles.

Experience

  • Previous experience in optometry or clinic settings is highly preferred; familiarity with laboratory procedures is a plus.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology related to eye health, and vital signs measurement is essential.
  • Experience working with EMR systems such as RevolutionEHR or similar platforms is advantageous.
  • Retail sales experience, particularly in optical or healthcare environments, will help you excel in this role.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle medical records accurately while maintaining HIPAA compliance is required.
  • Strong understanding of medical billing practices and coding standards related to optometric services is desirable.
  • Prior experience working with pediatric or senior populations enhances your ability to provide compassionate care tailored to diverse patient needs. Pay: $16.60 - $20.00 per hour
