Join our dynamic mental health team at Victoria Community Counseling as a Full-Time Pre-Licensed Therapist (AMFT, ACSW, APCC), where you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to adults, children and families. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your clinical skills in behavioral health, child and family counseling, and mental health assessment within a supportive, growth-oriented environment. You will work closely with licensed professionals to provide therapeutic services that make a meaningful difference in clients’ lives while gaining valuable experience toward licensure. We are trained in EMDR and provide financial support for your training.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine mental health needs and treatment plans
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based approaches such as behavioral therapy and applied behavior analysis (ABA)
- Deliver adult, child and family counseling services to support emotional well-being and strengthen family dynamics
- Assist in case management activities, including treatment planning, progress documentation, and coordination with other healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate, HIPAA-compliant medical documentation and records using secure electronic health record systems
- Support patient care by monitoring progress, adjusting interventions as needed, and ensuring a positive therapeutic environment
- Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing training to enhance clinical skills and stay current with best practices in behavioral health
Requirements
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a Master’s or Doctoral program in social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or related field; valid licensure or registration as an Associate or Pre-Licensed Therapist (AMFT, ACSW, APCC) required
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, child & family counseling strategies, DSM5 diagnoses, and diagnostic evaluation methods
- Familiarity with mental health diagnostics and terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality
- Strong skills in patient assessment, mental health counseling, and case management within a behavioral health setting
- Excellent communication skills for engaging children and families effectively during therapy sessions
- Ability to work independently while collaborating seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team
- Prior experience with medical documentation systems and understanding of behavioral health best practices is preferred

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
