Pay: $22–$27 per hour
Bonuses:
- $2,000–$16,000 retention bonus based on enrollment and tenure
- Additional bonuses up to $400 awarded 2–4 times annually for exceptional project presentations and contributions

Inspire Wonder Through Nature-Based Learning
Old Firehouse School’s Bayview Campus is seeking a passionate Preschool Teacher to join our nature and wildlife-inspired early childhood program. Our campus emphasizes outdoor exploration, environmental stewardship, inquiry-based learning, and meaningful relationships.
Grounded in attachment theory and inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, we believe children learn best through connection, curiosity, and hands-on discovery.
We are looking for educators who are collaborative, reflective, creative, and excited to learn alongside children in a dynamic outdoor-centered environment.
Responsibilities
- Create a warm, emotionally responsive classroom community
- Develop emergent curriculum inspired by children’s interests and the natural world
- Support social-emotional development using attachment-based practices
- Facilitate outdoor learning experiences and nature exploration
- Observe and document children’s learning processes
- Partner closely with families and teaching teams
- Participate in reflective practice and professional development
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 12 ECE units
- Experience working with preschool-aged children
- Passion for outdoor and child-led learning
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred
- Knowledge of Reggio Emilia philosophy
- Experience with nature-based education
- Coursework or training in child development and social-emotional learning
