Full-Time Professional Nanny/Family Assistant for Hamilton Family

Requirements:
– Professional childcare experience, minimum 2 years
– Nanny/Family Assistant experience, preferred but not required
– Adaptable to support the schedule and needs of a busy family with multiple children
– Proactive, takes initiative, and works well as part of a team
– Dependable, trustworthy, and organized

– Energetic and fun-loving, able to keep up with active children
– Safe driver with reliable transportation
– Ability to travel with the family, preferred but not required
– Up-to-date immunizations; annual flu shot and COVID vaccine, preferred but not required
– Clear background check, driving record, and drug test
– CPR/First Aid certified prior to start date

Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., 45 hours/week
Pay Range:
$25.00 – 30.00/hour, depending on experience, education, and expertise. Overtime rate of time and a half goes into effect after 40 hours/week. At 45 hours/week, the expected gross amount is: $1,187.50 –$1,425/week ($61,750–$74,100 annually). Taxes will be withheld.
Benefits:
The family offers 8 PTO days for vacation, sick, or personal time, as well as 6 paid holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day. The nanny will also receive an additional week off during family travel. Mileage is reimbursed at the federal rate.The family will guarantee pay at 40 hours/week.
Children:
The family has two children and a baby on the way. B7 is energetic, creative, and social, with a love for art, music, sports, and outdoor play. B7 is in school (9:00–3:50) and the nanny would support getting him ready, drop off and pick ups. He will be home during school breaks and when he is not in summer camps. G15mos is happy and playful. She eats three meals per day, takes one nap per day (11:00 a.m.), and goes to bed around 7:00 p.m. The mother is expecting a new baby in May and will need support post-birth with infant care, including feeding, establishing routines, and general infant needs. Care will predominately be for the younger two during the day.

Duties Include:
Nanny/Family Assistant responsibilities include providing attentive care for the younger two children, including meal and bottle preparation, and managing the children’s laundry. The Nanny/Family Assistant will also maintain the household, including washing dishes, folding laundry, wiping counters, vacuuming, and general tidying. They will share transportation duties with Mom, driving children to and from school, activities, and appointments. Additional responsibilities include running household errands and providing miscellaneous assistance as needed, with flexibility to support the family in a variety of ways. The Nanny/Family Assistant will also help with Mom’s elderly mother, who has Alzheimer’s disease. Nanny will make same food for breakfast and lunch for grandma as she does for the 15 month old. Nanny will occasionally take grandmother along for activities, but more than anything, Nanny is just in the home and provides general company as she cares for the children.
Pets:
The family has two dogs, a male Teddy Bear breed (Bichon/Shih Tzu mix), and Sophia, a female Yorky. Care includes letting them out regularly, and taking them to the groomer every few months.

The family is seeking a professional, long-term nanny/family assistant. The ideal candidate is dependable, proactive, organized, energetic, and positive, with previous nanny or family assistant experience preferred. She should be adaptable to support the schedule and needs of a busy mom with multiple children, take initiative, and work well as part of a team. Compassion, patience, and a fun-loving spirit are essential to keep up with the children’s active lifestyle. The family requests a minimum 1-year commitment, with potential for a long-term relationship of up to 8 years.
