Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN)

Northeast Surgical Specialists is looking for a Full-Time RN to add to their AAAASF accredited Oral Surgery Practice with locations in Queensbury & Saratoga Springs. We are looking for a friendly, compassionate, strong worker who pays attention to detail and takes pride in their work.

The role of the Registered Nurse (RN) in the oral surgery setting is, first and foremost, to ensure patient safety before, during, and after procedures. The RN will create an environment of compassion and trust for each patient with each interaction.

Job Description includes but is not limited to:

• Administer IVs
• Communicate with provider(s), patient, and surgeon regarding clearances and scheduling
• Send appropriate preoperative and postoperative medications to patient pharmacy as ordered by provider
• Document medication counts for crash cart and anesthesia
• Order medications as needed to ensure supply
• Maintain patient vital signs, response to medications administered, and airway through head-tilt chin-lift throughout surgery
• Advocate for patient safety and comfort by communicating with provider and surgical assistants
• Support the rest of the surgical team

Compensation: Commensurate with experience

Must have current NYS RN License

Current BLS and ACLS certification preferred

Position: Full Time Approx. 4 days a week: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, with the possibility of more or less hours depending on the schedule. No weekends or evenings

Pay: $36.00 per hour
