Location: Recovery Campus – Massena, NY


Position: Full-time RN Health Coordinator


Shift/schedule: Tuesday-Saturday / 7:00a-3:30p


Pay Range: $34.00/hr to $42.00/hr


Sign-on Bonus: A hiring bonus of $7,500.00 will be attached to an offer for this job opening! Further information can be provided by St. Joseph's Human Resources team during the interview process.


Position Summary:
Under the guidance of the Medical Director, responsible for the provision of nursing services to the residents.


Education and Training: NYS Registered Nurse License. Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience, including knowledge of population. CPR/First Aid Instructor.

  • Maintains and pursues continued professional education

Essential Duties:

  • Responsible for provision of nursing services to residents.
  • Conducts admission process for prospective residents.
  • Conducts and interprets comprehensive nursing assessments and mental health exam.
  • Develops measurable treatment plan objectives based on the Strengths, Needs, Abilities, Preferences (SNAP) Model, as well as initial and ongoing medical assessment.
  • Initiates weekly medical progress notes and treatment plan review note and clearly documents all medical treatment received.
  • Contributes to aftercare plan development relative to ongoing medical needs.
  • Conducts didactic lectures on topics related to health and addiction.
  • Ensures the provision of education, risk education, counseling and referral services to all patients regarding HIV and AIDS, tuberculosis, hepatitis, sexually transmitted diseases and other communicable diseases.
  • Assists with the education of residents and staff regarding psychotropic medications, potential side effects, and related medical concerns.
  • Delivers CPR training to SJATRC employees.
  • Adheres to Pharmacy Services Policy in its entirety, inclusive of controlled substance policy, procedures, and monitors.
  • Actively participates in meetings, committees, and quality assurance activities.
  • Responsible for additional duties as may be assigned by the Program Director.
  • Has knowledge of medical and psychiatric issues specific to population.
  • Assess and monitor residents experience signs and symptoms of withdrawal using appropriate withdrawal scales.
