We are seeking a hands-on Technical Support & Operations Engineer to take full technical ownership of a custom- built investment management platform following its market delivery and formal handover from the development vendor. The role is focused on system stability, operational reliability, and cloud infrastructure management, with close coordination with the external vendor on technical matters. This position sits on the client side and acts as the primary technical custodian of the platform.
Key responsibilities:
1. Technical ownership

Take over full responsibility for the application codebase, cloud infrastructure, and technical documentation after delivery completion

Develop a deep understanding of system architecture, integrations, and operational dependencies.

Act as the internal technical owner and first-line support for the platform.

Identify technical risks and operational gaps.
-
Proactively suggest improvements to reliability, performance, and maintainability.

Support preparation for future scaling and onboarding of additional users or entities.
2. Application and platform support + Azure Cloud operations

Ensure day-to-day operational stability of the application in production and non-production environments.

Monitor system performance, availability, and data flows.

Investigate and resolve application, integration, and infrastructure incidents.

Manage and support the platform hosted on Microsoft Azure.

Perform routine cloud operations: access management, environment configuration, scaling, and monitoring.

Support deployments, releases, and environment updates in coordination with the vendor team.
3. Vendor coordination

Serve as the main technical interface between internal stakeholders and the external development vendor.

Coordinate issue resolution, bug fixes, and technical clarifications.

Review and validate vendor deliverables from a technical and operational perspective.
4. Security, reliability and compliance

Ensure platform security, data protection, and controlled access in line with internal policies.

Support incident response, root cause analysis, and preventive measures.
Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of experience in application support, technical operations, or similar engineering roles.

Experience with
Microsoft Azure
applications (Container Apps, Storage, Application Insights, Key Vaults, TestContainers).

Familiarity with
Azure DevOps
and CI/CD pipelines (YAML pipelines preferred).

Basic experience or interest in
Infrastructure as Code
(e.g., Azure Bicep).

Knowledge of
container technologies
(Docker, Docker Compose) and cloud-native applications.

Experience with
PostgreSQL
; exposure to
TimescaleDB
is a plus.

Understanding of application code, APIs, integrations, and multi-tenant systems.

Experience working with
external vendors or distributed teams

Good communication skills, including interaction with
