Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social skills, aligning with best practices in early childhood education.
- Provide attentive toddler care and preschool instruction, ensuring each child's safety, comfort, and developmental needs are met daily.
- Manage classroom activities with effective classroom management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Support children with special education needs through tailored interventions and early intervention techniques.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to encourage positive behavior and resolve conflicts constructively.
- Conduct assessments of childhood development milestones and prepare progress reports for parents and guardians.
- Lead engaging lessons that incorporate Montessori methods and standardized testing preparation when appropriate.
- Foster strong communication with children, parents, colleagues, and specialists to ensure cohesive support for each child's growth.
Requirements
- Proven classroom experience in early childhood education or daycare settings, including preschool experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management strategies.
- Experience working with children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers.
- Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and literacy education techniques.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, staff, and external specialists.
- Ability to implement teaching methods such as Montessori or other child-centered approaches.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and child welfare standards to ensure safe and nurturing environments.
