Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Fulltime Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a positive learning environment and supporting the developmental needs of children across various age groups. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, managing classrooms effectively, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure a high-quality educational experience. Experience in early childhood education, special education, or preschool settings is highly valued. The teacher will play a vital role in promoting literacy, numeracy, social skills, and overall child welfare within a nurturing environment.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum tailored to diverse learning needs, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional development
- Plan and execute daily lesson plans that align with educational standards and individual student needs
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques
- Foster an inclusive environment that supports children with special needs and early intervention requirements
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor student progress and inform instruction
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and colleagues to support student development and address individual challenges
- Incorporate Montessori, preschool, or daycare best practices to enhance learning experiences
- Support children’s physical health and welfare through attentive childcare and child welfare practices
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and classroom activities
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, early intervention, literacy education, and other relevant areas
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development theories and practices
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management
- Proficiency in teaching various subjects including math, literacy, physical education, and special education strategies
- Ability to work effectively with children of different ages, including toddlers and preschoolers
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues
- Experience working with students requiring early intervention or special education services
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and tutoring methods
- Knowledge of Montessori methods or private school curricula is a plus
- Ability to create a nurturing environment that promotes child welfare and positive behavior management
- Prior classroom experience in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3.0 – 6.0 per week
